The stories about criminal illegal aliens currently residing in the United States, continue percolating throughout the media, this as more and more crimes of habitual offenders begin to take their toll on the American way of life.
Upon being sworn into office, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to defund cities (Sanctuary) and counties who refused to cooperate with the federal government in regards to immigration enforcement.
So-called “Sanctuary Cities” pride themselves in offering a ‘safe haven’ for illegal immigrants. Crimes committed by illegal immigrants are dealt with locally or at the state level, but for the most part, those illegal immigrants are not handed over to the Department of Homeland Security for processing.
A federal appeals court struck down the president’s edict, saying that it violated the Constitution “because it undermines both federalism and separation of powers.”
The U.S. Department of Justice documents that in 2014, 19 percent or over 12,000 criminal cases filed by prosecutors were for violent crimes; and over 22 percent or 13,300 cases were for drug related felonies.
That same year, the U.S. Sentencing Commission found that 75 percent of all criminal defendants who were convicted and sentenced for federal drug offenses were illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants were also involved in 17 percent of all drug trafficking sentences and one third of all federal prison sentences.
The U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Sentencing Commission reported that as of 2014, illegal immigrants were convicted and sentenced for over 13 percent of all crimes committed in the U.S. –The Hill

Notice how Palm Beach County is one of those pro-illegal immigration jurisdictions. The Town of Jupiter is in Palm Beach County, as if President Trump’s Mar-o-Lago.
Jupiter has seen its image tarnished over the years for being such a “sanctuary city,” but just a couple weeks back, the city found itself embroiled in another sad and unfortunate illegal immigration dilemma when two of its own, fire rescue Paramedic Paul Besaw and EMT Lahari Garcia died when an illegally impaired native Guatemalan crashed into their ambulance.
Genaro De La Cruz Ajqui, 39, who has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide and DUI manslaughter in the crash, has now been place on a U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) hold after Rep. Brian Mast (R) is said to have pressed the agency for the detainer.
Ajqui is said to have had four other run-ins with law enforcement, but was never turned over to ICE.
But as Ajqui recuperates from his injuries, and will surely face a long stint in state prison for his crime, what about the families that he and his actions have affected?
According to Besaw’s wife Dawn, her late husband was practicing his dance moves with their 5 year-old daughter for the upcoming Father/daughter dance at the time of his untimely death.
Dawn also divulged that Paul was working “some crazy hours” and was on the verge of “finishing nursing school.”
Paul was just a super awesome guy… He just wanted to make sure he was there for his girls (myself, Allison, and my mom)…He was a calm in the middle of any storm and always had a smile and kind word to say.”-Dawn Witherspoon
As we mentioned, a federal court struck down President Trump’s executive order to defund “sanctuary cities.”
While there may be an issue with this order, the following White House petition asks that President Trump sign another executive order to specifically mandate all cities and counties, “sanctuary” or not, to obey and help enforce existing federal laws.
All American must obey federal laws. The issue of illegal immigration is a matter of national security.
